CLARINET
That rich, warm, woody sound!
WHAT IS A
CLARINET?
The clarinet is a member of the Woodwind family. It makes a warm, 'woody' sound and can play any tune you like!

It's especially good at playing fast and high notes. There are usually 6 in a band working together as a team.
WHERE DOES IT
FIT IN THE BAND?
The Clarinet players sit together at the front of the band. They all work together to make that warm, rich, woody sound and play the melody in most pieces.

The best player is the leader of the Clarinet team, they sit closest to the conductor in the front row.
CAN I TRY IT
ON FOR SIZE?
Absolutely!
That's the best way to see if the Clarinet is for you.
Book into an Instrument Demo session to try the Clarinet with the guidance of an Upscale Music Teacher.
HOW DO I KNOW IF IT'S FOR ME?
If you really like more than one instrument, the Upscale teachers will help you to find the instrument which ‘fits’ you best, taking your preference and natural features into consideration.
Instruments produce sound in different ways and the Upscale teachers will explain how to make sound on each instrument. People usually find one type of instrument suits them more than another.
Some instruments you need long arms, while others you need long fingers to reach the keys. Some require you to be really good at blowing raspberries and blowing huge breaths.
We will look at your natural strengths and match you with an instrument that you have the best chance of being good at.
